Ah, fire. So very alluring since... forever?
A big block in the foundation of our modern world, totally utilized and harnessed at a whim and yet so fascinating and relaxing that we're tempted to start one whenever we're sitting with friends.
And the brain being a weapon: It sure is. And a very adaptable one.
For example I was leading a RPG group for Shadworun for years. And it influenced me enough that I began thinking about security systems and defense positions, where to put guards to control as much area as possible with as little staff as possible, choke points in case of all out assaults and so on.
I still find myself thinking about that from time to time and it's scary how many flaws in security one can find.
Most large public buildings for example? Look impressive, takes a damn load of coordination from scared monkeys if anything unforeseen happens to get all them out...
